About Dupples
At its heart, Dupples is a love story - one that began with my dog Sawyer and continues with every dog I meet.
Each session is a quiet celebration of connection: the warmth in a glance, the loyalty in a paw print, the joy only a dogs love can bring... and the moments that remain long after they're gone.
Our Story
So, Dupples began with Sawyer, our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who came home with us in August 2024 and very quickly earned himself the nickname “Dupples.” He’s cheeky, stubborn, endlessly loveable, and the heart behind everything I do. (And if you book a session, I’ll happily tell you the story of how Sawyer even became Dupples in the first place!)

In truth, dogs have always been at the centre of my life. I grew up surrounded by them (more than ten different breeds over the years) each one teaching me something new about patience, loyalty, and the joy of unconditional love.

Photography has been a part of my life for over a decade now. What started as spontaneous iPhone snapshots turned into an obsession with lighting, angles, and capturing emotion. I went from iPhones, to second-hand DSLRs, to the Canon G7Xii (which I adored for holiday snaps!), and eventually on to the professional mirrorless kit I use today.

So when I picked up my camera to capture Sawyer’s quirks, it felt like everything clicked into place. What began as a way to bottle up those everyday moments soon grew into Dupples Photography: a space where every dog’s personality is celebrated and every story has value.

And a little about me? I’m Ellan - photographer, storyteller, and dog mum first and foremost. Dupples is my way of combining a lifelong love of dogs with my passion for creating images that feel timeless, personal, and full of heart.
